Mission

Teens Talk strives to educate teenagers and young adults on how Supreme Court decisions and international policies affect them, as well as to motivate young adults to participate in government.

About me

Hi, I’m Sabrina, I’m a senior in high school and I’m from California as well as from Chile.

I have always had an interest in arguing, at least that's what my mom always says.

I knew that by the time I was in middle school I needed to find an activity that suited my opinions and my ability to public speak. It was 2016 when I was first introduced to the daunting yet fascinating world of law and politics. I was looking for a way to spend my after school hours when I came across the Mock Trial club. Although this club helped me learn the amendments and introduced me to fascinating topics such as human trafficking and swatting, I scoured the internet for resources that would provide me with easy to understand information about how big decisions made in the judicial system could affect me.

I was also tired of feeling left out of the conversations while I sat at the kid's table and I wanted an outlet to speak to other teenagers about how we could make a collective difference in our government before becoming adults.

Therefore, I set out to create Teens Talk, a place where teens could feel comfortable sharing their perspectives on political ideas as well as where they could learn more about how higher-level courts' decisions affect them.
